Event recap
On Thursday, October 22, Bay Angels returned to Nordic Innovation House - Silicon Valley in Palo Alto for an evening that ranks among our best yet.
Six founders took the stage, and our panel did exactly what we ask of them: draw out each company's strongest case rather than try to trip anyone up. Long after the final pitch, investors were still in the room, making introductions and investments.
Our thanks to the six companies who presented:
- Calaris Diagnostics (Jim Chen, MD, MPH, Founder and CEO) is building a needle-free saliva test for liver scarring risk.
- ChargeMate (Brad Crist, Co-founder and CEO) brings AI-native operations to EV charging networks.
- Tweelin (Dario De Santis, CEO and Co-founder) is building the human decision layer for the agentic enterprise.
- Clyn (Diana Muturia, Founder and CEO) uses AI to verify cleaning quality from photos.
- Cadents (Julie Case, Founder and CEO) delivers AI risk intelligence for IT infrastructure.
- Immergo Labs (Michael Powell, PhD, Co-founder and CEO) offers remote physical therapy with live motion tracking.
Christine Castro of Innovate Bay and Jasmine Shih of Edgewood Ventures served as our panelists, and Philip King moderated. Thank you both for questions that brought out the best in every founder.
Food and drinks were sponsored by Eric H. Milliken and Shirley Roberson of Sutter Law, with support from Pitch an Angel. Irsa Amerian and Nordic Innovation House - Silicon Valley welcomed us back to their beautiful space, and Hesam Jafari and Buzzable helped get the word out. If you're planning an event of your own, Buzzable is worth a look.
None of this happens without the Bay Angels team: Michael DeBoard, George Parrish, Simon Ng, Selina Zhang, Emma Anderson, junior member Vihas Uppalapati, and our founder, Roger King. Thank you.
Coming up next: our next live event is Thursday, November 19 in San Francisco, and investor invitations open soon. Founders can apply to pitch at bayangels.com/apply/pitch.
Company information comes from the founders. Bay Angels doesn't recommend any company, negotiate terms or take a fee on any investment.
